Important: Suspected Intruder

Tonight one of the residents reported a suspected intruder in the rear garden. When challenged he attempted to exit by climbing the external fire stairs. The resident sent the attached photo of the door from the lobby to the garden which looks like there's been an attempt to force it open. However the door/lock still work.

When we inspected at 10pm, we found:

• the front door to the building was open - it hadn't closed properly

• the door into the building from the carpark had been wedged open with a brick, and

• the pedestrian gate from the carpark onto McDonald Lane had also been left ajar.

We'll ask the Strata Manager to have someone inspect the damaged door and the automatic door closers tomorrow.

In the meantime, everyone needs to be more vigilant. If you're using the front door or the rear gate onto McDonald Lane please ensure the doors close behind you. And please don't prop open the door from the carpark into the building.
